From autumn 2024: Discover the Dresden Puppet Theatre Collection at Kraftwerk Mitte - a cultural heritage full of history and creativity.
The Dresden Puppet Theatre Collection, which will be housed at Kraftwerk Mitte from autumn 2024, is one of the largest of its kind in the world. It includes marionettes, hand puppets and stages from the cultural history of Saxony in particular. Founded by Otto Link, the collection has been growing for almost 70 years and documents the development of puppet theatre from the 18th century to the present day. A place that brings the past to life and delights visitors of all ages.

Getting there
Kraftwerk Mitte is located in Dresden's Old Town, in the Wilsdruffer Vorstadt district, in the direct neighbourhood of the University of Music on Wettiner Platz.
On foot: Coming from the Old Town, you can reach Kraftwerk Mitte in 10-15 minutes.
