There are various public transport options to get to the castle:
Travelling by train:
S-Bahn S3: This line runs between Dresden and Tharandt. You should get off at Freital-Potschappel station and follow the footpath.
Travelling by bus:
Stadtverkehr Freital (RVD) Line B: This line runs between Freital-Raschelberg and Dresden-Coschütz. Get off at the bus stop Am Dathepark.
Stadtverkehr Freital (RVD) Line C: This line connects Freital-Deuben, Possendorf and Dresden-Prohlis. The right stop for you is Burgk-Zschiedge.
Travelling by tram:
Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe (DVB) tram line 3: This line takes you to Dresden-Coschütz/Gleisschleife. Alternatively, you can also take bus lines 71/72 to Dresden-Gittersee. Then take the Stadtverkehr Freital (RVD) line B in the direction of Freital-Raschelberg and get off at the Am Dathepark stop.
Car parks: The castle offers sufficient paved parking spaces for visitors in the immediate vicinity of the property.
