From the former manor house at the village square, head towards the church. However, before that, turn right into Am Pfarrgarten street. At its end, turn left into Zum Weinberg street passing the school. At the height of Märchenscheune, turn left to the cemetery, passing the Luckner Chapel, the Jakobsweg pilgrimage site with the "Sixfold Tear Sacrifice" on the gable side of the St. Jakobus Church. Back on the street in front of the community house, go downhill past the former wine taverns and turn right into the residential street "An der Winzerei." Walk right around the Old Winery and follow the path downhill over the former vineyard to a small plateau with five lime trees. At the next crossroads, you can make a small detour to the right to the 8th light shaft of the Deep Elbe tunnel (about 200m). Otherwise, head left uphill past the pottery and the farm shop of the Pesterwitz estate back to the village square.
At the inn, turn right into Freitaler street and after about 100 meters, turn left into Dölzschener street. Then, turn right twice over Südhang and Oskar-Schimmrohn street back to Freitaler street, which you follow left to the bus turnaround. Then turn right into the junction Am Burgwartsberg to the water container, where a stele commemorates the Thorun Fortress. Continue at the forest edge heading north and then turn right across the meadow to the wooden pavilion, which serves as a resting place with a wonderful view. Along the gardens on the right side, you reach Freitaler street again, which you cross to the right and then turn left into Am Roten Fuchs street. At the end of the street, turn right twice then left in front of the allotment garden complex down a narrow path. Behind the houses on the left side, turn left uphill, then right to the forest. Then keep left near the forest edge to the Jochhöhschlösschen. Here a small detour to the Swiss houses is possible, about 150 meters past the castle. Otherwise, follow the driveway to the left across Dölzschener street along the orchard to Schöne Aussicht, which you follow left towards the village center. Back at the village square, go downhill along Elbtalblick street to the Hotel Pesterwitzer Siegel with the Albertheim restaurant. From there, continue via Alte Dresdner street and Niedere street to Gorbitzer street. This leads uphill to the left back to the village square and thus to the starting point and destination of the circular route.
