Created for the 950th anniversary celebration in 2018, the circular route connects historic buildings and sights in the village with detours into the charming surroundings, including breathtaking views.

The circular route introduces you to historical sights of the almost 1000-year-old village. It passes the manor house, the church and old farm estates, the old and new school, the 8th light shaft of the Deep Elbe tunnel, the Burgwartsberg, and also leads to exhibits of historical wine growing: to the Old Winery on the western edge of the village and to the Jochhöh castle on the eastern edge. The stations of the historic circular route can be recognized by ceramic plaques from the Pesterwitz pottery, on which the station number and the year of construction or first documented mention of the building are found. On the plaques is a small square. A barcode is to be attached here later, through which additional information can be accessed on the Internet.

Small detours into the charming surroundings offer natural experiences, including breathtaking views of Pesterwitz, Freital, and the foreland of the Ore Mountains, of Dresden and the Elbe valley to the Saxon Switzerland.
