Regionalverkehr Dresden GmbH (RVD) was founded in 1991. Today, regional scheduled services serve the western part of the district of Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge, parts of the districts of Meißen and Bautzen as well as the state capital of Dresden with inbound and outbound lines, in cooperation with Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe AG (DVB) in the city of Dresden. RVD GmbH is a partner company in the Upper Elbe Transport Association
