On the Elbe bend north of Meissen, spring comes a little earlier and the fall lingers a little longer. This is why this region is known as the "Saxon Riviera".
The Lehmann winery is a wine-growing business in Diesbar-Seußlitz near Meissen. The Lehmann family has been growing wine since 1931 and is now in its third generation. This makes them one of the first wineries after reunification. Saxon classics, but also exotic varieties such as Blauer Zweigelt, Sauvigon Blanc, Gold- and Roter Muskateller grow on over 5 hectares of vineyards on the Seußlitzer Heinrichsburg site. Wine is served on the terrace on Saturdays and Sundays.
