The bike route connects the forest and pond landscapes of the region with the cultural, natural, and culinary highlights in Coswig, Moritzburg, and Radebeul.

This route branches off from the Elbe Cycle Route to the north and offers the chance to get to know the right Elbe surroundings more closely. The route starts at the Elbe ferry in the Coswig district of Kötitz. From here, it is well signposted towards the town center of Coswig, past Villa Teresa, a stately building in neo-Renaissance style with a beautiful park. Those who take the time and briefly detour will also discover the "Old Church", consecrated in 1497 and considered one of the most beautiful village churches in Saxony. Before leaving the town, the Matyas Winery and the Folbrecht Indigo Printing with their lively craft tradition invite a visit.

Towards Moritzburg, the route leads through the adjacent Friedewald forest, past the Seerosenteich pond and Hohen Stein, a rock biotope with a beautiful view over the Elbe region. It continues through idyllic paths of the small hill landscape to the Dippelsdorfer pond, from where the picturesque Moritzburg becomes visible.

In Moritzburg, the old town center is a first tip for refreshment – for example, you can sit wonderfully by the lake in the beer garden of Adams Gasthof. Afterwards, many sightseeing opportunities await. It starts with the famous Moritzburg Castle – the hunting lodge of August the Strong. Also, the Fasanenschlösschen and the lighthouse at the large pond are sights not to miss. For children, a visit to the wildlife enclosure or the state stud farm, which offers the stallion parade as an annual event highlight, is worth it.

On the further route, you cross the tracks of the narrow-gauge railway, the Lössnitzgrund Railway, which stops at Moritzburg station. Via the village of Cunnertswalde, it continues past the lower and upper forest ponds to Reichenberg and finally through Lößnitz Valley to the wine town of Radebeul.

In Radebeul, countless vintners await, such as Hoflößnitz with its wine museum or the Aust Winery with an idyllic vineyard, catering to thirsty visitors. If you look up here, you will see many terraces full of vines, the Bismarck tower, and the Spitzhaus Restaurant. Those who climb the 397 steps of the famous Spitzhaus stairs from here will be rewarded with a magnificent view over the Elbe region.

The bike route continues south past the Saxony State Theatres back to the Elbe. Here you reach the Radebeul district of Altkötzschenbroda, which offers a historic village green, countless old farms, many restaurants, galleries, and shops.

Always following the course of the Elbe, the tour ends again at the Coswig Kötitz ferry after 37 km.
