Loop route from Weißeritz Park to the Iron Cross and continuing to Obernaundorf and Rabenau with a wonderful view over Freital from Galgenberg at the Hotel König-Albert-Höhe.

The route leads from Weißeritz Park first to Hainsberg and the Iron Cross, a monument for the victims of the First World War. The ascent is rewarded with an unusual view over the city. It continues uphill to Obernaundorf and from there to the chairmaking town of Rabenau. Especially worth seeing is the chair fountain at the marketplace. On Galgenberg, not far from Hotel König-Albert-Höhe, stands a monument erected in 1832, dedicated to the "Augsburg Confession," the most important confession of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. From the monument, restored in 2017, you have a magnificent view over Freital and the surrounding hills. Afterwards, the route goes downhill again past the 300-year-old Rollmops tavern back to the starting point.
