There is a lot of history in Niederhäslich. The aim of the tour of the district is to bring this history closer to the people of Freital and all hiking enthusiasts.

For over three years, the volunteer project organizers from the Niederhäslich Stakeholders' Group worked on the route and the content of the 25 signs, then produced and erected them and produced a flyer. Everything was ready in time for Freital's 100th anniversary and the village walk was officially opened on August 28, 2021.

The approximately 3.5-kilometre tour starts at the former town hall on Poisentalstraße and first leads across the old village green. This is where the transition from simple country life with productive farms to a rural residential area can be experienced most clearly. Many homeowners have financed the plaques themselves and thus supported the project.

The route then continues past the former Poisental inn towards the city limits. The turning point is at the Segen-Gottes-Schacht shaft. The route then returns to the starting point on the other side. The route is marked with the old Niederhäslich seal on a green background.
