The newly signposted circular hiking trail connects the historic town center in Seußlitz, the nature reserve "Seußlitzer Grund," and the vineyards with wonderful views over the Elbe. It is one of the selected 12 favorite hikes of Dresden Elbland.

The favorite hike "Seußlitzer Weinsichttour" is approximately 4.5 km long and a natural, informative, easy, and relaxing circular trail. Here you can experience nature and culture equally well.

Start and finish is the parking lot in Seußlitz. From there, the path runs right over the Seußlitz Castle Park into the beautiful nature reserve "Seußlitzer Grund" with its ponds and diverse flora and fauna. Along the way, there are always enough rest and relaxation spots available. When you reach the trout pond (third pond on the path) with the fish ladder along the Seußlitz brook "Bockau," the ascent "Green Watch" begins after the wooden bridge. Here you reach the 184 m high so-called "Goldkuppe", the largest Bronze Age fortification in Saxony (400 x 1100 m). In the widely planted vineyard areas here lies also the "Most Beautiful Wine View 2020" with a magnificent view over the Elbe. On the wave-shaped lounge chair set up there, you can relax and enjoy this beautiful view. The path through the vineyards also offers more beautiful views and deep views into the Elbe valley and the Göhrisch rock on the opposite Elbe side.

After a few meters through the forest, you reach the viewing terrace of Heinrichsburg, a garden house that the former castle lord Heinrich von Bünau had built in 1728 according to George Bähr's plans. From here, there is also an overwhelming view of the castle and park Seußlitz, the adjacent very worth-seeing George Bähr Church with the historic cemetery, the opposite Luisenburg also built as a garden house, the Elbe ferry to Niederlommatzsch, and Hirschstein Castle on the opposite Elbe side. At the observation platform, you will find an audio station of the "Saxon Wine Hiking Trail." Here you can learn a lot of interesting and useful information about the location.

From Heinrichsburg, go down some steps past the sandstone figures that are meant to represent the 12 months. They were created by Balthasar Permoser, one of the most famous Baroque sculptors. After a short stretch along the forest road, you can enter the French part of the Seußlitz Castle Park to the right and take a quiet look at the facility.

Next to the unfortunately inaccessible Seußlitz Castle is the "House of the Guest" with the Tourist Information, the Nature Conservation Center and free exhibitions. A café and a restaurant, the Elbe ferry for cyclists and pedestrians, the passenger ship with boat tours, the steamship coming from Dresden, and wineries with hospitality complete the tourist offer at the start and end point of the "Seußlitzer Weinsichttour."
