Look forward to a varied and extremely scenic tour through the vineyards and cultural landscape of Moritzburg.

The hike begins at Radebeul-Ost S-Bahn station. Turn right into Hauptstraße. The Radebeul Tourist Information Office is located on the left-hand side. Here you can obtain information material. From here, the path leads towards Meißner Straße, into which you turn left. After approx. 200 m, turn right into Eduard Bilz-Straße and follow the yellow dot markings until you reach Weinbergstraße. From here, the route goes uphill via the Hohlweg and the Straken.

The path now leads along the foot of the Moritzburg hilltops, past the Bismarck Tower, which can be seen from afar and which you leave on your left as you slowly descend into the valley. After around four kilometers, you reach the small village of Reichenberg, a place that still has a very original feel with its stately four-sided farmhouses and tranquil ponds. If you wish, you can stop off at the Reichenberger Hof before continuing on.

From Reichenberg, the trail now heads north, first through a narrow section of forest, then the landscape opens up to the large Moritzburg ponds. You walk along the water on sandy paths, often accompanied by the calls of waterfowl and woodland birds, which are abundant here. Finally, the striking canopy of the Moritzburg hunting lodge appears between the trees, where you can take a longer break.

The second part of the hike leads along the edge of the forest and Volkersdorfer Straße to the hunting pond. From here, the path turns north along Cunnertswalder Straße to Cunnerstwalde. Most of it is on the left until Bärnsdorf finally comes into view.

The actual hike on the yellow dot route ends when you reach the center of Bärnsdorf. From the bus station there, you can either take the 477 bus back to Moritzburg or continue to Radeburg, where you can connect to the narrow-gauge railroad or the bus line to Dresden. If you want to extend the hike a little further, you can continue to Radeburg station, but the village of Bärnsdorf itself, with its lovingly restored farms, offers a peaceful and atmospheric end to a day trip that combines such diverse landscapes: the vineyards of the Lößnitz, the pond landscape around Moritzburg and the seemingly endless forests of the Friedewald.
