The circular trail, created for the 950th anniversary celebrations in 2018, combines historic buildings and sights in the village with detours into the charming surrounding area, including fantastic views.

The circular route introduces you to the historical sights of the almost 1000-year-old village. It passes by the manor, the church and old farmsteads, the old and new schools, the 8th light hole of the Deep Elbe Tunnel, the Burgwartsberg and also leads to evidence of historic viticulture: the old winery on the western edge of the village and the Jochhöh castle on the eastern edge. The stops on the historical circular trail can be recognized by ceramic plaques from the Pesterwitz pottery, on which the station number and the year of construction or the first documented mention of the building can be found. There is a small square on the plaques. A barcode is to be attached here at a later date, which can then be used to call up additional information on the Internet.

Short detours into the charming surroundings offer a nature experience including fantastic views of Pesterwitz, Freital and the foothills of the Ore Mountains, Dresden and the Elbe Valley as far as Saxon Switzerland.
