From the former manor on the village square, we head towards the church. However, we first turn right into the street Am Pfarrgarten. At the end of the street, we turn left into Zum Weinberg past the school. At Märchenscheune, we turn left into the cemetery, past the Luckner Chapel, the pilgrimage site on the Way of St. James with the "Sixfold Tear Offering" on the gable end to St. James' Church. Back on the road in front of the parish hall, we walk downhill past the former wine taverns and turn right into the residential street "An der Winzerei". We turn right around the Alte Winzerei and follow the path downhill over the former vineyard to a small plateau with five lime trees. At the next crossroads, you can take a short detour to the right to the 8th light hole of the Tiefen Elbstolln (approx. 200m). Otherwise, turn left uphill past the pottery and the farm store of the Pesterwitz estate back to the village square.
At the inn, turn right into Freitaler Straße and after about 100 meters turn left into Dölzschener Straße. We then turn right twice via Südhang and Oskar-Schimmrohn-Straße back to Freitaler Straße, which we follow to the left as far as the bus turning area. Then turn right into the Am Burgwartsberg junction to the water tank, where a stele commemorates the Thorun fortress. Continue along the edge of the forest in a northerly direction and then turn right across the meadow to the wooden pavilion, which serves as a rest area with a wonderful view. Along the gardens on the right-hand side, we reach Freitaler Straße again, which we cross to the right and then turn left into Am Roten Fuchs. At the end of the street, turn right twice and then left in front of the allotment garden site along a narrow path. After the houses on the left, turn left uphill, then right until you reach the forest. Then keep left near the edge of the forest until you reach the Jochhöhschlösschen. A short detour to the Schweizerhäuschen is possible here, past the castle about 150 meters. Otherwise, turn left along the access road across Dölzschener Straße and past the orchard to Schönen Aussicht, which we follow to the left towards the village center. Back at the village square, the route goes downhill along Elbtalblick Street to the Hotel Pesterwitzer Siegel with the Albertheim restaurant. From there, the route continues along Alte Dresdner Straße and Niedere Straße to Gorbitzer Straße. This leads uphill to the left back to the village square and thus to the starting point and destination of the circular route.
