New podcast series "Nu gucke ma da!" focuses on authentic conversations with special professional groups

New episode with stonemason Lydia Esther Zbanek has been released.

Imagine the Zwinger as a place of work or a historic paddle steamer of the Saxon Steamship Company, with fantastic views to the left and right of the Elbe. Dresden Marketing GmbH gets visitors to Dresden Elbland talking to people who are allowed to work where others go on holiday. The podcast host Henriette Fee Grützner guarantees that numerous insider tips for the trip are not neglected.

Back in 2019, Dresden Marketing GmbH (DMG) was one of the first destination management organisations to go online with its own podcast, which is the official podcast for the Dresden Elbland destination. "We want to be present wherever our target groups are, and that includes the podcast format. Of course, we are all the more pleased that podcast use is steadily increasing worldwide and in German-speaking countries," says Corinne Miseer, Managing Director of Dresden Marketing GmbH (DMG).

Two of the five episodes of the new, 4th podcast season have now been published. What's new about the series is the approach of using conversations with local professional groups to portray Dresden Elbland as an authentic destination and therefore also attractive to tourists. "With our new series, we are focussing on exactly what our listeners expect from a podcast for a travel destination: good entertainment, authentic stories and insider tips that can be easily incorporated into a visit to Dresden Elbland. And on top of that, we also take up the cudgels for special professions, such as stonemasonry," continues Miseer. The interviewee in the first episode is paddle steamer captain Andreas Weber, while mdr presenter Fee Grützner talks to 20-year-old stonemason Lydia Esther Zbanek in the second episode released today. "There are so many possibilities where people can travel. What's important to them all is that they experience things, places and people that aren't available everywhere. That's why authenticity is so important to us in our communication and especially in our podcast. This is also what the title 'Nu gucke ma da!', inspired by the Saxon dialect, stands for," adds Miseer.

For the production, DMG is working with the podcast agency Podcastmania. Dominic Hesse, Managing Director of Podcastmania, adds: "Podcasts are particularly suitable for tourism marketing because the episodes can be listened to anytime and anywhere, be it while cooking at home, on the way to work or on holiday. This makes the podcast an ideal companion for potential visitors who are preparing for their trip or looking for insider tips while they are still on site."

The next three episodes will be published in August, September and December via the usual podcast platforms such as Spotify, Apple Podcast and AudioPodcast as well as via the official Dresden magazine at https://dresden-magazin.com/dresden-elbland-podcast.
