Saxon Wine Trail

Discover the tradition of winegrowing

Explore one of the region’s most popular long-distance walking routes. From Pirna, the trail leads via Dresden, Radebeul, Coswig, Weinböhla and Meissen to Seußlitz Castle. The six daily stages can easily be tailored to suit your personal preferences. Along the way, you’ll find numerous vineyards and wine taverns, as well as magnificent views over the Elbe Valley.

Elbe Cycle Route

Built by the water’s edge

It is the star of Germany’s cycle routes – with culture and nature as constant companions along the banks of the Elbe. The Saxon section of the Elbe Cycle Route is truly captivating: the dramatic cliffs of Saxon Switzerland to the east, and the charming hilltops of the Meissen Spaargebirge. In the far north-west lies Lutherstadt Torgau. In between lie unspoilt countryside, vineyards, historic village greens such as that in Altkötzschenbroda – and the picturesque old towns of Meissen and Pirna.

Moritzburg Walking and Riding Circuit

Exploring nature on horseback or on foot

This route takes you through the vast forests and pond-filled areas surrounding Moritzburg Castle. The route is divided into a northern and a southern section. It is ideal for long horse rides or walks through one of Saxony’s most beautiful cultural landscapes. Enjoy the peace and quiet, far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
