Klipphausen

Romantic Whispers from the Mill

Anyone setting out to explore Klipphausen’s river valleys will experience not only the magic of the mills but also the enchantment of nature. A particular gem is the Schulzemühle: Germany’s smallest watermill that visitors can walk through. And there is plenty to see not just above ground: Deep underground, 450 years of mining history were made here – and curious visitors can explore it at the Old Miltitz Limestone Mine. With the main entrance to the Rothschönberg Adit, Klipphausen is also part of the Erzgebirge/Krušnohoří Mining Region World Heritage Site.
