Winemaker Lutz Müller - Wines with vision

At a glance

With the backdrop of a historic castle complex and a dreamlike view of the Elbe Valley in front of them, guests enjoy regional wines and classic Besen dishes in the Straußenwirtschaft run by winemaker Lutz Müller.

The wines of winemaker Lutz Müller grow on the slopes of the Elbe River in Dresden and the Pillnitz Royal Vineyard. Classic grape varieties are grown on around 3.5 hectares. The focus is on the white grape varieties Müller Thurgau, Pinot Blanc and Riesling. However, Traminer, Kerner, Pinot Gris, Scheurebe, Domina and Pinot Noir are also part of the grape variety roster.

Wine lovers who want to spoil their palate with a glass of the noble wine are welcome in the wine bar on the vineyard directly below the magnificent Albrechtsberg Castle. From March to November, guests can enjoy "wines with a view" as well as freshly prepared meals here. For inquisitive connoisseurs, the winemaker offers wine seminars and tastings in the historic wine cellar dating back to 1660.

In addition, the winemaker also rents out modernly equipped vacation apartments for an unforgettable vacation with the winemaker. The accommodations are located in the Kavaliershaus, which is situated in the middle of the English park of Albrechtsberg Castle.
