A taste of tradition

Anyone visiting Dresden during Advent will find it hard to miss: the Dresden Christstollen. This famous Christmas speciality was first mentioned in a document as far back as 1474. Today, it is just as much a part of the Dresden Christmas season as the Striezelmarkt – and speaks of a tradition that has been a fixture in the city for centuries.

We were looking for the perfect blend of nature and modern city life. In the Dresden Elbland region, we found exactly that: the picturesque vineyards of the Elbland in the morning, a cool café in the Äußere Neustadt in the afternoon, and a glass of wine by the River Elbe in the evening. Thanks to the quick flight via Munich, it was an absolutely stress-free mini-break!
