The Albertinum at the eastern end of Brühl's Terrace houses the New Masters Gallery and the Dresden State Art Collections' collection of sculptures from 1800 onwards. Masterpieces of Romanticism, Impressionism, Expressionism, New Objectivity and contemporary art can be seen here. The Galerie Neue Meister is one of the most important and richest museums of modern painting in Germany. In the Albertinum you can admire works by artists such as Picasso, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Kokoschka, Rodin, Degas, Caspar David Friedrich, Gerhard Richter and other outstanding figures in art history.
