The Coswig-Kötitz swimming lake is idyllically situated on the Elbe River between Dresden and Meissen and offers a wide variety of swimming activities for the whole family. The facility features a natural swimming lake with approximately 7 hectares of water surface, as well as several swimming and recreational pools, including a 25-meter pool, a children’s wading area, and a 47-meter slide. Spacious sunbathing areas on the approximately 21-hectare grounds invite visitors to relax. Sports activities such as beach volleyball, soccer, and table tennis provide plenty of variety. A naturist area, playgrounds, and dining options—including a snack bar and restaurant—round out the offerings. Thanks to its location right on the Elbe Cycle Route, the swimming lake is also perfect for a break during a bike ride.

Getting there
By Bike
Located right on the Elbe Cycle Route on the right bank of the Elbe, the swimming lake is easily accessible by bike. The well-maintained bike path runs on flat terrain along the Elbe and connects Coswig with Dresden and Meissen.
By car
Take the B6 toward Meissen to Coswig. In Coswig, turn toward Brockwitz/Kötitz and follow the signs for “Badesee” until you reach Brockwitzer Straße. From the A4 (Dresden-Neustadt/Wilder Mann exit), take the B6 toward Meissen. Alternatively, take the A13/A14 toward Dresden and continue onto the B6. Then follow the directions above to Coswig-Kötitz.
