Dresden Park Railway

Discover the Dresden Park Railway - a historic attraction in the heart of the Great Garden.

The Dresden Park Railway, once founded as a children's railway in 1950, winds its way through Dresden's picturesque Great Garden. Over a distance of six kilometres, it offers visitors a 30-minute ride through the green heart of the city. Historically started as an educational project, the railway was operated and managed by children and young people. Today it stands as a symbol of Dresden's cultural heritage and offers both locals and tourists a unique way to explore the Great Garden. With its nostalgic trains and stations, the park railway connects the past and the present and invites you on a journey through Dresden's history and nature.
