Dresden Winter Lights
On Prager Straße, a shopping trip quickly turns into an Advent stroll. From 25 November to 23 December 2026, the Dresden Winter Lights will bring market stalls, a Ferris wheel, an ice rink and plenty of lights to the area between the main railway station and the city centre.
During Advent, Prager Straße offers more than just full shopping bags. At the Dresden Winter Lights festival, this wide shopping street is transformed into a Christmas market filled with lights, music and a lively city atmosphere. Between the main railway station and the Centrum Galerie, you’ll find market stalls, food and drink outlets, hot drinks, a Ferris wheel, a carousel and an ice rink with skate hire. It’s the perfect place for a quick detour before or after a spot of shopping. If you walk from the main railway station towards the Altmarkt, you’ll almost inevitably pass by. Convenient, central and festive enough, without going overboard with the Christmas spectacle.
It’s open on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 to 21:00, and from Sunday to Thursday from 11:00 to 20:00.
