Kleine Galerie im Hahnemannhaus Torgau

Samuel Hahnemann's residence and seat of the Johann Kentmann e.V. art and culture association.

In the former free house built in 1486/87 with wonderful wall paintings and wooden ceilings from different eras Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy, practiced and lived here in the years 1804-1811. In 1810 he wrote the Organon here, a standard work which is still valid today. Today the art and culture association Johann Kentmann e.V. has found a domicile here. The traditional focus of the association's work is the organization of exhibitions - painting, photography, graphics or sculpture, etc. The vernissage associated with each exhibition allows direct contact with the artist. In addition to readings, lectures and discussions, especially children and young people are motivated to participate in projects.
