Strehla Small Animal Zoo

On a family outing to the small animal zoo, children can look forward to seeing a wide variety of animals. The animal collection consists mainly of miniature ponies, donkeys, Cameroon sheep, alpacas, mini pigs, raccoons, prairie dogs, degus, chipmunks and striped squirrels, dwarf rabbits, guinea pigs, colored mice, pigeons, quails, canaries, golden pheasants, various species of parakeets, chickens, eagle owls, and various species of ducks. At the petting zoo, feeding and petting the cute dwarf goats delights visitors of all ages. A playground in the middle of the zoo, as well as the adjacent park area with a fountain, invite visitors to play and linger. Children can test their knowledge of the zoo’s plants and animals at a question-and-answer board. Thanks to its proximity to Strehla Castle, a visit to the zoo can also be perfectly combined with a tour of the castle.
