Lehmannmühle

From the hikers' rest area in Klipphausen, near the Saubachtal bridge, you can easily reach the Lehmannmühle along the trail towards Neudeckmühle – a historic showpiece from the 17th century. From 1781 to 1988 the mill was continuously owned by the Lehmann family, hence the name Lehmannmühle.

Klipphausen enchants with numerous elaborately and lovingly restored mills. One of them is the idyllically situated Lehmannmühle in the valley of the Wilde Sau. A technical monument of a small commercial grain mill with a functioning overshot water wheel, it is a technical monument of a small commercial grain mill from the 17th century worth seeing and, moreover, the last surviving water mill of the former 12 mills of the Saubach valley.
