Relaxation and swimming fun at the NaturErlebnisBad Großenhain!

Following extensive renovations, the newly redesigned natural swimming pool invites young and old alike to splash around, slide, swim, and relax to their heart’s content. As always, the water is purified using purely biological methods, without any chemical additives. Großenhain, the “friendly town in the countryside,” made a conscious decision against using a chlorinated pool.

Special attention was given to the youngest visitors, as the new toddler pool—featuring a portable slide and a sunshade canopy—is a big hit in the summer. And the 10-meter-long wide-wave slide in the non-swimmer area doesn’t just make children’s eyes light up. All swimmers are delighted with the redesigned swimming area, which features three 50-meter lanes and one 25-meter lane. The swimmers’ area has also been physically separated from the diving area, so that swimmers’ and divers’ lanes no longer cross paths. The 2.50-meter-high diving rock, the pool’s landmark, has also found its place once again in the natural pool.

Pool visitors praise, among other things, the attractive design, the excellent water quality in all pool areas, the foot-friendly, slip-resistant lining in the toddler pool and the non-swimmer area, and, last but not least, the family-friendly admission prices.

And even beyond the fun in the water, there is plenty of variety, relaxation, and dining options. Umbrellas and trees provide shade, and the open areas feature a beach volleyball court, table tennis tables, a small soccer field, a sandbox with a water play area, open spaces for other sports, such as badminton and skill courses, as well as lawns for sunbathing.

Integrated into the main building is a bistro-style snack bar offering a wide variety of food and drinks, along with a selection of delicious ice cream.

Anyone who needs to stay connected can use the free Wi-Fi.

A visit to the pool is also an enjoyable experience for visitors with limited mobility. Accessible entry to the pool area, barrier-free use of the changing rooms, and unrestricted use of the showers ensure that everyone can enjoy the pool to the fullest.

And since 2020, the NaturErlebnisBad’s operational efficiency has been supported by the installation of a photovoltaic system to generate energy for its own use.
