Casual Dresden

The Saloppe Dresden is far more than just a traditional beer garden – it is a real institution in Dresden’s cultural life.

Situated right on the picturesque banks of the Elbe, this traditional open-air summer venue combines rustic charm with a varied programme of events. Whether it’s a relaxing after-work beer in the open air, lively club concerts, legendary party series such as the “Nachtgarten” or the classic “soapbox race” – the unique, laid-back atmosphere attracts locals and tourists alike. Under shady trees, you can perfectly enjoy the Saxon way of life here with cool drinks and delicious food whilst overlooking the river. An absolute must-visit during the Dresden summer!

Price information

Entry to the beer garden is generally free of charge. For special cultural events and dance evenings, such as the popular ‘Nachtgarten’, a small cultural contribution is often requested (e.g. from 9.00 pm, approx. €5). Ticket prices for concerts and special events vary depending on the artist and advance booking. Current prices and tickets can be viewed at any time on the organiser’s website.

Getting there

The Saloppe is located at 1 Brockhausstraße. We therefore recommend travelling by public transport: tram line 11 goes as far as the ‘Elbschlösser’ stop. From there, a short, picturesque walk leads down towards the banks of the Elbe, straight to the venue. The beer garden is also easily accessible on foot or by bike via the Elbe Cycle Route.

By car, it can be easily reached via the B6 (Bautzner Straße). However, parking spaces in the immediate vicinity are very limited!
