The Twelve Days of Christmas at the Stallhof

The Twelve Days of Christmas at the Stallhof

After Christmas, the Stallhof will once again take on a magical atmosphere: with music, juggling, fortune-telling and the spirits of the Rauhnächte.

After the Christmas holidays, things at Dresden’s Stallhof don’t get any quieter – they just become a little more mysterious. The Rauhnächte bring music, juggling, fortune-telling, crafts and Rauhnacht spirits within the ancient walls of the Royal Palace. The programme suits this venue perfectly: a little dark, a little wild and far more exciting than the usual festive fare. Anyone still in the mood for market life after Christmas will find a lovely mix of fire, sound, old customs and people who don’t just showcase their craft, but live it.

The Rauhnächte will take place from 27 to 30 December 2026, daily from 11.00 to 21.30. It will then continue from 2 to 5 January 2027, daily from 11.00 to 20.00. On 6 January 2027, the festival will be open from 11.00 to 18.00.

Getting there

The Stallhof is centrally located next to Dresden’s Royal Palace, close to the Frauenkirche, the Fürstenzug and the Striezelmarkt. You can take the tram into the Old Town and it’s just a few minutes’ walk from there. There are multi-storey car parks in the city centre, but finding a free on-street parking space is rather a matter of luck.
