Torgau Closed Youth Welfare Center Memorial
The memorial houses an exhibition on the history of repressive home education in the GDR.
The Geschlossener Jugendwerkhof memorial documents the history of the Geschlossener Jugendwerkhof Torgau and commemorates the only closed disciplinary facility of the GDR youth welfare system and the more than 4,000 young people affected at the authentic site.Guided tours are available on request.
