Winemaker Winn – Wine with Character

Wolfgang Winn is a winemaker out of passion and lives his passion in the Pillnitz Royal Vineyard and the Schlossblick vineyard in Pirna.

The hobby winemaker Wolfgang Winn presses wines from the Pillnitz Royal Vineyard on the southern slope of the Borsberg and from the Schlossblick vineyard in Pirna. On an area of 0.5 hectares, Müller-Thurgau, Goldriesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Traminer, Morio Muskat, Scheurebe, Pinot Noir and Dornfelder are grown. The Schlossblick vineyard, which lies opposite Sonnenstein Castle on Postaer Straße, was already laid out in 1899 and 1900 by the paint manufacturer Walter Reppe. But by 1923 viticulture here had come to a standstill. Finally, in 1980, Heinz Zisler acquired the plot and began replanting vines. Since 2012 Wolfgang Winn has looked after the "Schlossblick", which has a registered vine area of 3,700 m². Events: Guided tours (from 6 people) in the Pillnitz vineyard with wine tasting
