Elbe Cycle Route - Section Dresden Elbland (Pirna - Torgau)

Pirna

From the A4 coming from Bautzen or Chemnitz, take the Dresden-West interchange, and then continue on the A17 (direction Prague) to the Pirna exit.

Torgau

Coming from Dresden on the A14, take the Mutzschen exit. Coming from Halle, use the Leipzig Northeast exit. 

If you are coming from Berlin on the A9, exit at Coswig and then continue via Wittenberg. Coming via the A13, exit at Duben. 

Pirna

The closest and free parking lot to the starting point is located in Pirna Copitz on the Elbe (P7 in the city's parking guidance system). 

Torgau

Free parking spaces can be found in the parking lot under the Elbe bridge (parking lot P3 in the city of Torgau's parking guidance system).

Pirna

The start and end point of the tour is best reached via Pirna station. It is a 5-minute bike ride from the starting point on the other side of the Elbe, which you can conveniently reach via the nearby city bridge.

You can reach the station with the S1 from Meissen and Schöna, as well as with the S2 from Dresden Airport. It is also served by the RB71 from Sebnitz and Neustadt and the RE20 from Litoměřice and Dresden.

Right next to it, Pirna also has a bus station, which is accessible by a variety of bus lines: 204 from Liebstadt, 207a from Breitenau and Bad Gottleuba, 209 from Ottendorf, 218 and 219 from Bahratal, 226 from Dresden Bühlau, 234 from Neustadt, 236 and 237 from Sebnitz, 238 from the town of Wehlen, 241 from Hinterhermsdorf, 245 from Rosenthal and 246 from Königstein.

Torgau

If you only want to cycle half of the tour, your start or end point is in Torgau. From the local station, you can use the S4 heading towards Leipzig and Hoyerswerda. The RE10 Cottbus-Leipzig also stops there.

Additionally, the following bus lines operate there: 751 from Prettin, 755 from Mockrehna, 757 from Falkenhain, 759 from Greudnitz, 764 and 781 from Oschatz, 765 from Döbrichau, 782 from Dommitzsch and 783 from Mockritz.
