The Haus des Gastes in Diesbar-Seußlitz houses not only the tourist information office but also various free exhibitions.

At the wine café across the street , you can round off your hike with a cup of coffee and homemade cake. Here you can also enjoy a selection of Saxon wines—mainly from local vintners—paired with fresh tarte flambée or small snacks.

A4, take the Nossen exit toward Meissen; after the Elbe Bridge, turn left and follow the Elbe all the way to Diesbar-Seußlitz

A13, take the Thiendorf exit toward Großenhain, then take the B 101 toward Meissen; take the exits toward Diesbar-Seußlitz or Löbsal–Diesbar-Seußlitz

B169, take the Nünchritz exit, continue toward Meißen until you reach Diesbar-Seußlitz

B6 toward Meißen, take the exit at the new Elbe Bridge toward Großenhain; after the Elbe Bridge, turn left and follow the Elbe River all the way to Diesbar-Seußlitz

Right at the tour's starting point: Parking lot at the Elbe ferry in Diesbar-Seußlitz, across from the entrance to the castle (fee required)

Bus:

Take line 407 from Meissen to Diesbar-Seußlitz, get off at the Schloss/Fähre stop

Line 446 from Meissen to Niederlommatzsch, then take the Elbe ferry from Niederlommatzsch to Diesbar-Seußlitz

Excursion steamboat from Dresden, Seußlitz pier

Sturdy shoes; no other special requirements.

When it rains, some sections of the trail may be a little muddy.
