Dresden Zoo

Dresden Zoo

Dresden Zoo - Close to the animals since 1861!

Directly on the Großer Garten Dresden, the zoo is home to over 2,000 animals on 13 hectares - and 300 different species. The elephant house is worth a visit, where you can watch the gigantic proboscideans playing, eating or grooming themselves. A "house visit" to the orangutan house is also worthwhile. And, of course, to the penguins, these wonderful animals that are unable to fly but are as swift as an arrow in the water.
