Wackerbarth Castle

Where in former times counts resided and already the court of August the Strong celebrated glittering celebrations, today Europe's first adventure winery welcomes its guests daily.
Wine summer at Wackerbarth Castle
In the heart of the Saxon Wine Route, where counts used to reside and where the court of August the Strong already celebrated glittering festivities, lies a pearl of the wine country of Saxony: Wackerbarth Castle. Today, this is where Europe's first adventure winery welcomes you every day with a unique ensemble of baroque grounds, modern manufacturing facilities and picturesque terraced vineyards.
Where grapes become dreams
Enjoying with all senses, that's what Wackerbarth Castle stands for: In the vineyard on the sun terraces, music & culinary delights invite you to take a little time out every day. Because what could be better than lean back with a good glass of wine or sparkling wine and enjoy the moment? How elegant and finesse-rich "Cool Climate" wines are created from the Saxon grapes or how the sparkling wine from one of the oldest sparkling wine cellars in Europe still matures classically in the bottle today after a tradition of over 180 years, you can find out during the daily guided tours of the manufactory. Hiking enthusiasts, on the other hand, should definitely climb the Wackerbarthberg and enjoy the view over the picturesque Elbe valley and the ensemble of Wackerbarth Castle. This unique view is one of the "most beautiful wine views in Saxony".
Schloss Wackerbarth transforms time into enjoyment, and yours as well.
